Tonalea is the first middle school in SUSD to offer Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates Jr. (JAG Jr.).

This innovative program helps students build the skills they need for high school, careers, and beyond. Through leadership development, goal setting, and real-world learning experiences, students gain confidence and direction early.

Even more exciting, JAG Jr. connects directly to the highly successful program at Coronado High School, giving students a clear and supported pathway into one of Arizona’s top career-readiness programs.

Tonalea is proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to bring a new on-campus program to students.

This partnership provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment after school, making it easier for students to stay involved, supported, and inspired. From academic help to enrichment activities and mentorship, students have access to opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom while strengthening connections with peers and staff.
